Syphilis is basically both, an infectious as well as a contagious disease which can easily be transmitted by way of sexual contact or through a pregnant mother to her unborn child.

How does the test work?
You can make the appointment online or alternatively you can also visit us at one of our clinics and our staff will draw your blood and take your sample. We will also require your ID while at the time of appointment.
Please also make sure to not take any Biotin supplements atleast 2 days before your scheduled appointment.
How long will the result take?
The target turnaround time for the Syphilis result is around one working day. Please also note that this turnaround time is to be taken as a guide only and will at times depend on the assay run schedule.

A: It is possible that you get re-infected even after the treatment has been complete.

Accuracy:
The accuracy of the sample’s testing is dependent upon the variations in the coefficient also between the assay. The variation in the testing of if there then the Syphilis sample is analysed again. The between-assay coefficient is actually the variance of the result value only if the same sample is being under processing from the start again.
Positive results:
The sample which is over or = 1s/co signify a positive result of the infection.
Negative results:
The sample that is under 1 s/co are taken as negative for the syphilis.
