The scientific information data from the instrument and the reagent supplier
The technology method used is called as the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
The limit of detection = 1 x 104 CFU/mL which is defined as the Colony Forming Units.
Sensitivity: The kit has both positive and negative reference controls the coincidence rates for both positive and negative reference controls at all times came to be 100%.
Specificity: Between the microorganisms in the kit, there was no observation of any cross activity.
Accuracy: We also tested the reference controls 10 times and at all times, the particular Ct value’s, coefficient of variation was it no time more than 5%.
Result: The result could either be Positive/ Negative or can also be Inconclusive.
The validation-active available information:
- EQA: Yes
- Inter-laboratory validations
- Were found to be periodic as per the validation schedule.
- Event-triggered – Calibration/New materials/Batch/Qc
Accuracy
It is the combination of sensitivity and specificity variables which define accuracy of any given diagnostic tests. The test’s ability to confirm positive result is referred to as sensitivity while specificity is the ability to eliminate negative results. All of the tests we offer are validated to a high degree of accuracy (up to 98.5%).
Variables
The accuracy that this test result provides is highly dependent on several factors that cannot be controlled by our lab. Infection intensity, patient health, and quality of the sample which is dependent on the adherence to “home testing” procedures can all be factors that limit the results of the test. At all times though we make sure that our tests are extremely sensitive but, limitations such as a swab that is of poor quality will make it harder for the test to detect the presence of infection, because in this case only a few viral particles will be present. Given the same, we request that you carefully consider the information sheet provided to you with your sample collection kit to ensure a very high-quality sample.
Detection
The Chlamydia Trachomatis PCR detection test is specifically designed to accurately detect any presence of bacteria in your sample.
Please also note that all diagnosis should be properly discussed with your doctor and our results from the laboratory should only be viewed by a healthcare professional for treatment. This should be done with your doctor while assessing your medical history, lifestyle, and several other factors which may influence the results, you must make sure that you share all the above with your GP while discussing these results.
Positive result
The presence of Ureaplasma urealyticum bacteria in the sample is confirmed by a positive test result, at the time of testing. Upon the receipt of positive results, we strongly advise that you contact your healthcare provider for further treatment. We also provide a prescription through our website. It is also possible the bacteria does not present any symptoms of the disease, but that does not mean that you can’t be infectious to other persons.
Negative result
While a negative result is always reassuring, we advise that it is also critical to understand its significance, meaning that the test did not detect the presence of infection only for the time of testing. However, your result should always be thoroughly discussed with the healthcare provider, while properly assessing and considering your lifestyle and sexual history.

Questions and Answers for Chlamydia Trachomatis
The Symptoms, Transmission and the Treatment
Hello, my name is Terry, and I have discovered that I was infected with Chlamydia for 1 year.
I’ve only had one boyfriend in my life, so now we both follow treatments to defeat the virus.
I kept thinking, and I am sure that if I have never had sexual relationships with another man, then I must have taken the infection through my boyfriend. So, I ask you: is it possible that he was cheating on me with other women? Or is it an infection which can evolve from not treated candida “like in my case”?
I would be grateful for your opinion!
Dr Robert Gindro: “Transmission can occur sexually or at the time of birth between mother and child.”
Terry and his chlamydia
I don’t know how I got it, but I know that chlamydia put me through hell: it started as an itch, quickly replaced by one of the most terrible smells I’ve ever experienced. You know when they say that the vagina tastes like fish? Well, it’s an observation that I thought was unrealistic—and I had always wondered where that idea came from. I understood this with chlamydia. Because my lower parts did not simply give off a fishy smell, but of rotten fish, so much so that even my boyfriend at the time, who did nothing but tell me when he liked the smells of my body, was careful not to propose to me to do sex. I was a little embarrassed and interested in doing it. But the worst thing which happened that day was when my boss walked to my desk. He wanted to talk about a delivery and remained behind me for a few minutes. I kept thinking of that smell heading towards his nostrils from below. I would have felt more comfortable naked, probably. In the end, he didn’t give the impression of smelling anything. It took me about two weeks to get rid of it, and now I am extra careful. I use protection because if left untreated, it can cause other infections. For now, thankfully, Chlamydia did not come back to haunt me.
Henry and his gonorrhoea
I may be particularly unlucky, but I got an STD the same day I lost my virginity. And it wasn’t even a small thing: that day, I lost my virginity and gained gonorrhoea. Let me explain: like so many young men anxious to become ‘real’ men, condoms were not the first of my worries. Today, thanks to that experience, I pay much more attention, and fortunately, I have never had STDs again. And I hope I never have any again.
The burning sensations when urinating, the pus, and the fact that any movement was a potential source of pain wasnothing compared to what I had to do to heal myself. In theory, everything is done with antibiotics, but my doctor wanted to complicate things by sticking a swab up and down into my urethra. The girls will perhaps not have a very precise idea of the pain that can be felt in those cases, while I am sure that they will understand – and at this moment, they will be on the verge of fainting. So, my friends, ask yourself a simple question before you take action without protection. Would you want the risk to end up the same? Trust me, you do not want that.
Sam and his candida
Technically, Candida is not an STD, but sometimes it can be passed from one person to another during sexual intercourse. I’ve always been attentive to hygiene and health, used protection when having sex and never had any issues. But, as people say, the flesh is weak, and after a very long time of not having sex after a breakup -six months- when it came to the opportunity of having an amazing night having sex, I jumped at it like crazy. Except I did it with the wrong guy. He had passed himself off as a photographer, and after a nude shooting to which I had volunteered (yes, I know), I did it because I liked him. Even though we did not have protection, we had sexual intercourse, and after a while, I ended up having candida. I was so angry at myself for not only making myself a fool (as he never called me again) but also because I was left with an infection. Two days later, the final blow: the boy I had had a crush on since immemorial was finally interested in me, and we ended up in bed. Too bad it was the worst sex I’ve ever had: it burned so much, and the next morning, out of shame, I snuck out of his house like a thief. In the meantime, the gynaecologist administered a therapy based on creams, suppositories and… abstinence. After six months, I could have waited a little longer, right? Not that I had a choice, nor that I could complain about the punishment of karma (for having sex without a condom, of course. And for having it with a photographer).
Julie and his HPV
Don’t know what HVP is? Too bad for you. The Human papillomavirus is a large group of viruses; catching it is very easy. Fortunately, however, not all types of HPV are dangerous, though some of them are linked to increasing your risk of getting cancer, some others don’t really do anything in a person’s body, however, might just be frustrating. What I experienced was the latter one and my first boyfriend gave it to me who actually slept with someone else without using any protection. When I found out about him, cheating on me, I of course left him for good, and it was when I visited my gynecologist who diagnosed me with an HPV infection with warts. This type of HVP, is considered to be among the low risk type, how develops itself is through towards around the genital area, which cause itching and a burning sensation, and if you want to get rid of them, completely, a laser therapy might be required. For this laser treatment to work on the external part of the skin is fine, but it was not a pleasurable experience when it had to do the work in the vagina.
Not just this, having warts along with this infection, definitely increase your hygiene to the maximum level, simple things like never using the same towel twice, always keeping the optimum high temperature to wash your towel along with your underwear and to be very careful that it does not spread to other areas of your body. For example the anus. However, the sad part is that even after you take all the above precautions, it’s not necessary that the infection has completely left and that it cannot return. I say this because I experienced that and there would like to give advice. Please don’t go out with boys who can cheat on you and always use protection, and you should really take these regular screening test.
