CA 19-9 & Pancreatic Cancer Details
Sample (blood) taken at home through finger pricking. Our CA19 Blood Test detects a biomarker to evaluate pancreatic cancer and tumour risk.
CA 19-9 is for an antigen found in higher levels when cancerous cells are present. Its levels can be used in the diagnosis and monitoring of pancreatic cancer and acts as a marker. HPV Variant test is also a great add on as its one of the main causes of liver cancer.
This exam detects a biomarker indicating the levels of:

What are the most common questions about the CA19 Pancreatic exam?
Q: What are the consequences of high levels?
A: Bladder, colorectal, and gallbladder cancer are among the tumors that may result in elevated levels.
Q: Is it possible for levels to be elevated in the absence of a disease?
A: Elevated levels of CA19 may indicate conditions other than tumors, including liver cirrhosis and gallstones.
Q: Is it possible for the levels to fluctuate?
A: The consistent measurement of tumor markers is challenging due to their fluctuating levels.
Q: Is it possible for tension to influence the outcome?
A: Additionally, recent research indicates that stress hormones may augment nerve growth and density at the tumor site, which is linked to adverse patient outcomes.
Q: Is it necessary to abstain for the checkups?
A: No, it is not necessary to fast for this purpose.
Q: Is it possible for the disease to develop in response to stress?
A: The spread of the disease throughout the body can be accelerated by stress, particularly in the cases of ovarian, breast, and colorectal cancer.
Q: Is it possible to survive without a pancreas?
A: It is possible to live without a pancreas; however, medications will be required to replicate its functions.
Q: What is the potential cause of a disease’s progression?
A: DNA mutations within your cells are the final cause of the majority of malignant tumors.
Tatyana is 48 years old and is an accountant – A CA19 HPV Testimony
She has a family: a husband and three children. In January 2016, doctors diagnosed her with pancreatic head cancer BRCA1, stage III. They performed chemotherapy and surgery, including a gastropancreatoduodenal resection with preliminary tumour electroporation. In 2017, after a relapse, they carried out complex chemoradiation therapy. In 2020, they detected a single lesion in S1 of the upper lobe of the lung and eliminated it with targeted therapy. From November 2022 to the present, in remission.
Ca19 Diagnosis
In September 2015, I started having aching, constant pain in the epigastric region that was not relieved by any analgesics or antispasmodics. They couldn’t give me a diagnosis, even though they checked everything. They did an ultrasound, MRI, and a bunch of different tests. By January, I had lost weight to 36 kg. The pain became so excruciating that I practically didn’t sleep. It felt like everything inside me was burning.
I went to the doctor and said that I couldn’t stand it anymore, so she prescribed me a CT scan.
At the Regional HPV Oncology Dispensary, I had a CT scan with contrast. They found a tumour on the uncinate process of the pancreas. It was between the artery and the inner part of the pancreas, so it was not visible on the ultrasound. The doctor said there were vessels everywhere and would not take such responsibility. The doctors also did not know how to treat me. They believed that with such a tumour, even chemotherapy was pointless. According to their prognosis, I only have four months left.
We are a family of doctors.
While driving from Samara to Syzran, we started thinking about how we could help save me and where to go. That same evening, we decided to go to Blokhina.
Reasons
Initially, doctors said that such an HPV disease was impossible at my age. It usually affects people over 60 and is most likely connected with a genetic mutation. My dad died of stomach cancer, and my mom died of breast cancer.
Chemotherapy
During chemotherapy, they sewed in a port and prescribed irinotecan, to which I developed an allergy. At first, I saw hives, and then my lips swelled. I was transferred to intensive care, and they tried to add more drops to complete the first course of chemotherapy. But even under the cover of antihistamines, they were unable to do this. To the point that anaphylactic shock occurred in intensive care.
I was taken off irinotecan, and after being transferred from intensive care to the department, I was prescribed the GEMOX regimen. During the first months of chemotherapy,
I still felt that the tumour was there, and the pain persisted.
A nurse would come and inject tramadol so that I wouldn’t have to endure it and get some sleep, at least somehow restore my body. In the second month, I started to refuse tramadol because I started vomiting. At first, I couldn’t determine whether I was throwing up because of the chemotherapy or because of tramadol. Eventually, I noticed a clear trend: as soon as tramadol was injected, I immediately started to feel sick. The CA19 pain went away only in the third year.
I came to the hospital, had IVs and went home. By June, I had six courses and was sent to rest. They said it would be necessary to conduct control examinations, monitor the dynamics and decide what to do.
Operation
A week after my return from chemotherapy, they called me and said that a professor from the USA had arrived. He had brought equipment to demonstrate a master class and perform operations on different organs in different locations. Four volunteers were needed. I was offered to participate in this master class, and I agreed.
As a result, I underwent GPDR of the tumour, which had already begun to grow into my mesenteric artery. It includes a one-stage removal of the head of the pancreas, the distal part of the stomach, the duodenum, the initial section of the jejunum, part of the bile ducts, the gallbladder and regional lymph nodes. Everything went well, but I spent a month in the hospital. Then they gave me a rest until September.
After the surgery in September 2016, my doctor prescribed a drug called Xeloda in tablet form. I was to take it twice a day, in the morning and evening, for two weeks, followed by a seven-day break. I took it until January 2017.
Relapse
In January 2017, I began to notice that I had abdominal pain again. In February, I took tests, and the tumour markers increased significantly. Xeloda was cancelled, and a decision was immediately made to conduct radiation therapy.
After the radiation, I also had chemotherapy.
It lasted until the end of 2017. There was no growth of tumour markers, and they decided to give me a rest.
I rested completely throughout 2018 because examinations every three months confirmed that the tumour markers were normal. At the end of 2018, we noticed a small 2 mm formation in the lung. We initially decided to observe it, but it began to grow in size.
Targeted therapy
I was tested for genetic mutations. And at the consultation, it was decided that the best idea was to prescribe me some drugs that would affect mutation in the blood and prevent tumour growth. Since 19, I have been receiving targeted therapy, and as a result, the tumour has stopped growing and turned into fibrous tissue. The drug is olaparib; I take it twice a day, morning and evening. It is unpleasant because it causes nausea and puts a lot of pressure on the heart.
I noticed that taking the drug caused this because when my platelets dropped sharply, my doctor allowed me to take a break from the CA19 drug for some time to help my blood recover. Then I felt like a person; my heart stopped hurting, nothing stung anywhere, and as soon as I started taking it again, everything returned. And so, except for the diet, I returned to my previous life.
At the end people need their faith that the one who walks will master the road. And through my example, I want to show that people should not immediately give up when diagnosed; instead, they should try to prolong their lives with God’s help.
