Maria’s Story of a Blood Test for a Vegetable Allergy
The cutting-edge protocol that helped Maria get rid of her allergy problems
The one for Maria was hard. Maria was stuck in a debilitating allergy disease that had made her life hard since she was a child. Received too many contradicting opinions. Her symptoms had gotten so bad over time that she wouldn’t let her eat anything anymore.
She had always neglected her sensitivity to nickel and the problems it caused in her stomach.
Imagine living on an elimination diet for allergies to foods that include resistant LTP (lipid transfer proteins) like the elimination diet for nickel: chicken, chicken, chicken, and chicken.
Maria’s diet had gotten smaller and smaller over the years. This made her life boring and made her gut health worse since she had a deficiency dysbiosis, which is what people with repeated and diverse conditions have.
We behaved according to priority: her gut was her top priority. And the gut would only be fine if it got rid of the nickel.
So, we first gave her a 4-week diet and supplement plan that included nickel.
A supplement to help her intestines, a desensitizing program that lasts only 15 days, and a slow return to eating.
I leave you with Maria’s story to find out how it all turned out.
I am extremely delighted to tell my story since I feel terrific after 15 years, and it’s all because to the path I took with Doctor Manfra.
When I was 15, I started having problems with allergies and intolerances that led to the prescription of different drugs. Seasonal allergies made my stomach hurt, my skin broke out, and I itched every time I ate summer fruit, chocolate, and some kinds of vegetables. Things became worse when I was about 18. My intestines were always inflamed, and I had colic and bad constipation problems that kept coming back.
At the time, the doctor who was taking care of me tried to take away certain foods. At first, getting rid of gluten helped me feel better. Even still, the difficulties with the intestines and the allergic reactions didn’t go away. For six years, I didn’t eat any fish because I had two severe allergic reactions after eating canned cod and tuna.
The Last Visit
The last visit to the specialist and the results of the patch testing for allergies showed that the person was sensitive to a protein found in all fruits and vegetables. Because of these results, I could only eat meat, rice, and a few vegetables until a few months ago. This didn’t seem to bother me too much, but I still had itching and skin rashes, stomach pain, and most importantly, a distended intestine. Poor nutrition also caused weight increase even when I didn’t eat much, as well as chronic exhaustion and a constant feeling of lethargy, which also affected my mood.
After the first several weeks
For two months, Dr. Manfra and Dr. Giordano kept an eye on me. I began to feel the effects of the diet: my stomach ache and enlarged intestines were gone, and the itching and skin rashes were gone as well. I feel more awake and clear-headed, and I don’t feel sleepy anymore, especially after lunch. My mood has also improved, and I’m not worried of eating and becoming sick anymore.
This is the first time I’ve seen a specialist, and instead of taking foods away, he brings them back in. I’m eating fish again, gluten-containing cereals, and fruits and vegetables that have always made me sick. Because of their knowledge and professionalism, I eat things I haven’t eaten in years. I will always be thankful to them for this.
Jessica: “The low-nickel diet that saved my life.”
Jessica came into my office looking quite sad. I remember her as a weak girl who needed help but was also incredibly racist. Her apparent hesitancy caused her to fail too many times in the past.
She had been fighting it for a while, and it seemed to be growing worse every day. No one had been able to give her a good treatment.
I had a hard time getting her to believe that all was not lost and that she just needed to give me some time to figure out how to help her. Jessica let go and let me help her, even if she didn’t want to.
Here is what she said…
My ENT doctor told me to see Dr. Manfra. I went to see her because I had an issue with my ear and nose that no one else could fix. I had a lot of allergy testing done, and they found that I had two quite bad allergies. Strong, with nickel.
I went to Dr. Manfra because I found out via research that nickel is mostly found in foods. The doctor is a specialist at making customized diets for those with major illnesses.
For the past year
I couldn’t tell what was terrible for me when I ate. I experienced a lot of trouble with dairy, eggplants, and mushrooms, but then everything else appeared to cause different difficulties, such bloating, constipation, and diarrhea. There was also severe, constant nausea, regular stomach discomfort, and, in some cases, skin rashes and constant itching of the hands. A scenario that can’t last.
I went to various doctors before, but none of them could help me find long-term remedies. I was quite unsure, but I got in the car and tried again.
I haven’t made anyone write up a form with all of my information, problems, pathologies, and so on yet. This by itself made a tremendous difference. When I got there, the doctor listened to me and made a food map diet for me from scratch, paying close attention to nickel.
I was and still am a serious clinical case.
The patient has endometriosis, irritable bowel syndrome, and an allergy to nickel. The first five weeks were hard, but if we were to give a percentage, the symptoms and agony went down by approximately 90%. There were small reintroductions to assist us remember what to eat or what to cut out.
The doctor told me how to keep my nickel tolerance levels from going up again. I went into the optics.
She told me to keep going when I thought I couldn’t. She followed me for five months, and I still follow her diet now.
What happened:
The last ultrasound at the gynecologist showed no pain, the colon was not irritated, and the hemorrhoid problems caused by constipation got better. I was able to eat some dairy products and different types of ice cream, which I hadn’t been able to do in years. The rashes were gone, and I was able to eat eggplant again. I always try new meals gently, and depending on how they taste, I determine whether or not to consume them. In every way, I am considerably better.
